Check out these woodcarvings that were near the campground entrance. Aren't they awesome? The turtle is actually carved into the stump from the old tree that fell over. It was massive! Here is the picture of my husband and dogs showing how large the tree was.

That was a big tree! At least it didn't disappear but became a lasting sculpture.
I agree - it's so cool that a local artist was able to do this. The upper half of the tree is in the background of the picture with my hubby and the herd of terrierists.
You've got to love wood carvings or I swear you just aren't alive. These are great!
