Bead and Button 2007

I'm home, safe and sound. I took the train again this year and really enjoy that mode of travel. Several persons who read my blog mentioned that they wanted to see my haul of beads. I was very good this year, I stayed WAY under my budget and I am happy with what I did buy. I think that the scare with my hubby becoming one of the unemployed scared me earlier and I didn't want to spend just to spend. Here are some of my pictures.Abigail and Anne

This is Abigail and Anne at the Intercontinental Hotel's Chocolate Bar. It looked so good, but I behaved myself. I had a bite or three of a sugar free dessert that Julie ordered.

Crayon colours from Queen BeadsThis is unusual for me. I usually just buy, but here, I have an idea in the back of my head....

Moose Drool Ale
Rosanne and Bev had to make certain to run into me for this bottle of ale - Moose Drool! We didn't have much time this trip, but we did spend a lot of time with each other on the Bead Cruise in March.

Nice beads. And you didn't overspend your budget. My DH and I have a different idea of buying beads. He thinks you buy them when you need them. Ho, Ho, Ho! I say you buy them and then you need more to finish what you bought. You did well and I love your moose!

Love the bead shopping! Lots of reds! Were you low on them? Do you find you buy the same colours over and over, or do you play with the whole spectrum! I also really liked the shaped beads, they are neat!
Cheers, Denise

Hi Denise - the reds in the bottom picture were because they were on sale for $1 a tube!! I didn't mean to purchase reds, but I certainly did, didn't I?

The crayon box of colours in the second photo is because of the idea that I have in my head and it won't leave!!

It was a great long weekend. Even had a great seatmate on the train coming home - we talked and talked. Hi Johnnie, in case you found me!
