October Bead Journal

October! The skies are clear and the leaves are changing colour.
Brr, it's getting cold out, but that doesn't bother our owl.
He's hanging out and looking for his dinner.
With the leaves dropping, it's easier to spot
supper running under the trees.

Every bead you stitch, Liz, contributes to the whole. I'm soooooooooooo impressed with this owl and with your puzzle concept. Were the beads in the "basket weave" background random or was each chosen for the look you wanted to achieve? Bravo!!!

Thanks everyone!! I had fun with the owl.

Robin - many of the beads in the background were completely random, until that one corner of the sky with the two blues. I wanted the looked of sky with maybe a cloud....

I like the basketweave technique, it gives interest and a little structure to what is just....background....

Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
