Now, everyone knows my love affair with Marcia Decoster's work - it's not a secret, and I love, love love the Ellipse Necklace!! Started on Friday, finished Sunday morning using a different color scheme than suggested in the magazine and I just have the neckstrap to finish. I wore it to work today and received kudos for it.
The other piece was "the Alchemist's treasure" by Scarlett Lanson - how pretty is this spiral!! I think that I'll be starting that one really soon.

I just found your blog and wanted to comment on how awesome your project for the Bead Journal Project is coming along! I think it's very clever! I had heard a comment on the BJP site about doing a puzzle piece project and was really curious how one would pull that off... it looks like you've got it all figured out! I am "unofficially" participating in the BJP, you can see what I've been making on my site.
I also wanted to say THANK YOU for your sweet comments about my project "The Alchemist" in this issue of Beadwork magazine. I have not received my copy yet and I am about dying from anticipation! I have got a lot of positive feedback on my site about it, but I haven't seen it myself!
I would like to invite you to come to my blog and leave a suggestion for what you would like to see in future "Scarlett's Style" sections. I have a blog post up about it taking comments now. I am also selling kits to "The Alchemist" there. If you create your own variation, I would love it if you e-mailed it to me! I'm looking to starting up a beader gallery for variations of my projects.
