September finished early

Just something a little different for Liz. I felted some wool on the Pellon backing. I had a wishbone from Thanksgiving several years ago - I guess I do save this junque for a reason! I covered the wishbone with right angle weave in three colors and mounted that on the felted Pellon. Simple. Clean. I really like the simplicity of this month.

This one made me laugh, I collect stuff that I just don't have an idea for right this minute. But your wishbone tells me there IS a reason for my insanity.

Great piece, you're right, the simplicity is great.

This is great -- it works beautifully. I'm feeling like going through a bunch of the stuff and junk I've been stashing around.

This is so funny! I made a pal a pair of earrings using cornish game hen wishbones! She just couldn't bring herself to wear 'em, so hung 'em on a Guatemalan mask she has! Maybe if I'd beaded 'em like this, she would have worn them! :) Brilliant!

Oh, you had me so wondering, and nope I didn't even get close to guessing. How humorous is that!? I'm still giggling to myself.

Wishbones have always held a powerful attraction for me. Once I made a mobile using feathers, wishbones, and painted/stamped pieces. Beading a turkey wishbone is a great idea... and as you said, the simplicity of this piece is very nice.
