September after......

....ah, new dog, I just wanted to throttle her, but she doesn't know what she did. She's just 1 1/2 years old and this piece just smelled to good so she jumped on the dining table and ate it. My bead journal piece for September was no match for Chloe, the rat terrier/Jack Russell mix that was adopted two weeks ago. I get to start again......

Wow. I guess if I decide to try something like this I'd better be sure and keep it safe in some kind of pet-proof Fort Knox area ...

Aw! I am so sorry! What a sad discovery, but like you said, you can't fault the dog exactly. I have to think that it needed to be re-done, although it looked pretty perfect to me! LOL! The blend of beads was perfect!

did he make a wish first? He probably wished that he wouldn't get in trouble!!!

And it came true!

Chuckle - oh life with pets, it would be so much less interesting without them!!!!

Cheers, Denise

Amazing what our pets will do to train us.... Sorry about this lesson.... May your new September piece bring you even greater joy in its making than the original.

I've heard not much can stand up to a Jack Russell. Hope she is okay and everything has 'passed' in a peaceable way. Well, I figured this would be the time of year when I got behind. Sure enough! Once this month is done, I'll pick up again.

Chloe has learned. She sat on the floor with this piece in front of her for 10 minutes (which is eternity to dogs and 5 year olds) and didn't touch it. If I even bring it near her, she knows....she knows.

I do find it amusing when I scold my dogs, I have the same voice that my mom did when I was being scolded by her!

So sorry Chloe got your lovely piece -- hope Chloe's wish was not to get into too much trouble for it.

We have a Lab "puppy" who got my beaded doll -- I saw her in time and being a retriever she was a good girl and brought it to me with no damage. Believe me, I now put my things in a closed plastic tub.

I read on flicker that you wanted a wish bone. Do you still? I have a couple of dried ones here - I can send you the biggest one if you like.
Cheers, Denise
